Play Game Smoother on Your Android Device with GLTools APK (Gxf optimizer)

GLTools is another fascinating android application you must have on every rooted Android device. This app is very usefull for every Android gamers, especially for the low end devices. Gltool can manipulate graphic and system information to adapt the games we want to play in hope to get faster and smoother performance by reducing the graphic, or otherwise get better graphic quality by falsing the system information like GPU (Graphic Processing Unit), RAM, etc...

Maybe for you're who had long journey on Android world will know about the 3D Chainfire, that actually is have similar objective with Gltools. Just Gltools bring more rich features and support broader range of Android version from Android 2.3 up to Android 6.0. And it is still on active development untill now.

* Custom recovery installed, just in case.

- Change resolution and rendering bitness in any app, even if it doesn't support that by default.
- Change GPU name and enjoy enhanced graphics even on a noname low-end GPU.
- Take full control over textures: now you can decompress/recompress them (even if your GPU doesn't support that texture format) and resize. Note that decompression feature is available only if you'll install a plugin (internet is required to do that)
- Optimize shaders on-the-fly for optimal performance (the same optimizer is used in Unity3D engine by default)
- Enable MSAA or CSAA in any app to improve graphics quality (make sure that your GPU supports that)
- Measure gained performance with a nice onscreen FPS counter (or you can output FPS information to Logcat if you are a pro)


To make an independent settings for a game, make sure to choose the game and tick the "enable custom setting for this game".

Some noob tips from me to get better performance and quality from android games using Gltools app

• Game is smooth, but screen is black / have black dotted: tick √ "Force 16 bit rendering"
• Lag or force close on game:
  * Change "Downscales texture," = 0.5, or choose below it (reduce graphic quality).
  * Tick "Use fake cpu" and "Use fake GPU", change the "Use a template". Need some experiment one by one.
  * Reduce the value of "Use lower render resolution" (reduce graphic).
• Increase graphic quality:
  * Tick "Optimise glsl shader".
  * Increase the value of "Anti aliasing", match it with your device GPU.
  * Tick "Use fake cpu" and "Use fake GPU", change the "Use a template". Need some experiment one by one.
